Read of the Week

51Ro8jsJerL._SL500_AA130_The second in the series pales in comparison to the first – but let’s face it, Sara Ney is still one of my go-to’s. She manages to make an unlikeable character, likeable –which is a true testament to a writer’s talent.

My favorite part of this book isn’t the book –it’s the title of the series: How to Date a Douchebag. I love that title so much I bought an actual paper copy of the book to give my sister-in-law as a gift. Who wouldn’t love such a title?!

The best blurbs to share are the chapter openings. As Sara says in her intro: “Thank you, Internet, for providing the inspiration for the dating quotes at the beginning of each chapter.” If nothing else, these books are worth reading just for those quotes. They even make my husband laugh out loud – I read him every one!

Here’s a taste:

“When I said I wanted you to make noises during sex, I didn’t mean mocking ones.”
